Sabelle huffed for a moment, but Arturas was apologetic so she decided it would be unfair to get mad at him. She was incredibly protective of her mother and her feelings. People sometimes called her mean but Sabelle knew that in her mother was a genuinely loving parent who did her best.
"Not really, I get bored if I do the same person over and over. People look so interesting and different so it is fun to paint new people."
She had always loved painting. Ever since she was a very young child, she painted portraits and people mistook them for works created by adults. Most of her paintings never left the small room she kept as a gallery, but occasionally someone would want to keep a portrait she had painted of them.
Then an idea struck her. A big grin crossed her face, and she pointed at Arturas.
She exclaimed "You should let me paint you!
It was a perfect idea. It was a tactic she sometimes used to get out of parties she didn't want to be in. Find someone and paint their portrait. It was "social" so people couldn't blame her for doing it. Yes, this was a brilliant plan.

Arturas, did see her huff but was glad she seemed to forgive him. He did however take not that she was defensive of her mother and he would remember that. Even if he didn't think much of the woman but Sabelle has been enjoyabe to talk with if even for this little bit.
He couldn't help but smile as she got a big grin on her face, he felt she was doing this for more than just to paint him but he would enjoy spending at least a little time with her. She seemed like a whole new person when she was discussing art it seemed.
"I would to be the subject of one of your paintings." he responded enthusiastically. "I can't wait to see your other works as well."
It was going to be fun he was fairly sure, he just hoped no wild rumors started as they liked to do. He offered out his arm for her to take should she want to, "Lead the way." He remarked happily.

Margie had to admit that she was proud of her daughter's effort to make conversation with the boy, and it had seemed to work. As the pair was bound to pair off, Margie spoke up (as if to be heard over the crowd) and said in a motherly tone: "Take Gavrosh with you, my dear." The Queen Mother glanced at one of the servants nearby and nodded for him to follow Sabelle. As he made to pass and move with her, Margie leaned over and waved for him to incline his ear closer. "Do not, under any circumstances, leave the pair alone." She need not say anything else, not even a threat, as her eyes conveyed her meaning well enough.
The servant nodded quickly his assent to her directive, and she smiled in acknowledgement. She then reached out for her daughter to take her hand and leaned in from her seat to give her daughter a kiss on the cheek, as well as for Sabelle to do the same. Margerethe then offered her hand to the boy, allowing him the opportunity to kiss her hand out of courtesy before the trio departed.
