~APPEARANCE~

Standing at 6 feet and two inches tall and weighing 190 pounds Roland is still not the largest of his kind. His body is tough and hardened by years of harsh living by self imposed rigors. While the warriors way of life can be brutal Roland is quite hygienic and bathes regularly, mending his hair and sparse beard. In his mind it is a luxury to be clean and doesn't miss an opportunity to keep himself and his equipment in good condition. Blue eyes gaze upon others with a wise look and alluring calm. His dark hair is kept short but long enough for him to run his fingers through. Roland has several scars on his body from battle and the travails of his life. None of them were fatal encounters but serve as a reminder that he is still human. His skin is fair compared to others but darker than some of his kin thanks to weathering the elements.

Born and raised in Carenna his father was a knight and commander of the realm. His mother was of nobility and their family kept to themselves, simply doing their duty. Humble in origins and well known enough for only positive things to be said. Roland is a cousin to the king and technically in line to the throne but there were many between him. The prospect of being king was not something of interest to him even as a child. Roland loved the tales told by the guards. The glory of battle and the fame that came with victory. That was his desire, to be a hero that songs were sung about. But as he grew older he realized there were more responsibilities that came with what he wanted.
