Queen Aelin III of Alendron

Appearance:
Her Majesty is in a word a beautiful woman, like the founder of the Galathion dynasty, she is fair to look upon. Yet, she also is a blend of her grandmother and has classical Merov looks that complement her Galathion features of black hair and ice blue eyes. She is a famous beauty who isn’t against using her considerable assets to her advantage to take advantage of weak-willed men (or women).

Biography
Her Majesty was born on Midsummer’s Day to His Majesty Alexius V of Alendron and Her Majesty the Queen-Dowager Elisevetta of Luska. As is the custom of the Royal-Imperial House of Galathion the bells rang across the realm forty times to announce the birth of their new heir and then another twenty-five times to announce her gender. She was given the name of Cressida whereupon she began a comprehensive education where she was educated on what it is to be a ruler. She was taught mathematics, history, law, languages, strategy, and combat. Princess Cressida as she was called then was noted to have a capable mind, but by no means was she a genius. Her father, the late King Alexius himself recently ascended to the throne after the tragic death of King Philip IX who died suddenly due to an unknown wasting sickness.

Princess Cressida was noted to make fast friends and grew close to the young lords and ladies around her age and was beloved by her parents and the court. She has a noted closeness with His Majesty the King of Routaille who was a ward to her father as well as a very good friendship with Lord Durge and Lady Drusenna. At the age of 12 she was sent to the court of His Grace the Duke of Tarria where she squired for him until she earned her spurs in battle at the age of 15 fighting against the Cassians outside Tarria itself. She rode to war with her brothers and sisters in arms against the Cassians for another 5 years and was noted as a competent warrior, but not one to sing songs about. She was valourous and mindful of her duty and was respected by the men she commanded and served with (it didn’t help she filled out her armour in a very appealing way). She ascended to the throne after the sudden death of her late father and is hosting a coronation as well as attending a diplomatic summit to create a “lasting peace” with House Cassian.

Personality
Queen Aelin is an irreverent, cheery, informal lass who loves pretty things, hawking, riding, sculpting, and beautiful people warming her bed. She loves to laugh, smile, and jest and is noted for her patience and tolerance for satire. But, like all Galathions, she has a vicious temper and a fiery will. To any who decide to truly test her patience you will encounter a viciousness and ferocity that burns brighter than the sun. For, whilst the Galathions tend to be far more informal and have a reputation for kindness. They also have a history of violence and cruelty. Her namesake the Smiling Wyvern was named that because she would smile as she impaled traitors and murderers on the walls of the Wyvern’s Aerie personally and crush her enemies with lance and sword. Aelin at her core is a kind and caring lass, but be warned, this smiling queen knows that she must be harsh when the time calls for it and she will not hesitate to punish those who seek to destroy her kingdom and beloved subjects.

Skills:
Aelin is one of the greatest living archers in Trevast, famous for her ability to shoot on horseback and on ground with unerring accuracy, some believe that she can harness the wind to aid her shots. She is skilled with the lance and capable with a sword, but she prefers her bow and arrows, being able to take down fully armoured Reiksguard with well placed shot. Her second greatest skill is her equestrian skills, her father called her a Centaur due to her ability to ride with ease and grace. With this in mind she has proven to be a very good horse breeder. She is a skilled hunter and an avid hound breeder who has numerous purebred hounds, her favourite is named Fleecy she is 10 years old and was a gift from her dearest friend Arno of Routaille. Finally, as is the Galathion tradition she had to learn a trade to benefit the realm and due to her… amazing sense of humility she chose sculpting in order to permanently memorialise herself in stone.
