Summary and History:

House Cosella started off after the Empire took most of the control of the seaward barons. They were a free company and were tasked in the early days to help secure those Barons that were made to peace with. However by the time the Luskans had become their own power they House had become influential enough to finally manouver their way to getting a title. Of course helped by honoring their contract and not selling out to misguided but very wealthy barons. A few fights early in the war earned them a reputation as well as customers. The house quickly started to gain traction as they brought various merchants and other smaller companies into their fold. It wasn't long before they had been given the title of Boyar. To this day they have a habit of adopting in outstanding members of their house to their family to make sure exceptionalism in a primary drive for their bannerman and merchants.

While House Cosella is a newer major house of Luska, it is one of the longest lived groups to exist in what is now Luska. It is even rumored to the outside world that in one of their ancient hidden vaults they still have their original contract signed by the Empire. Since gaining their own major city they have been hard at work expanding their business in the form of some of the best metalsmiths in Luska if not Trevast. To keep with their history House Cosella still maintains a small group of their troops to act as their hireable free company. This group called the Contstralia is generally rotated through with both veteran and new recruits making sure that the older veterans still can see combat and keep their experience up while introducing the newer recruits to combat that is a bit safer than all out warfare.


In more recent history the current leader of the family is the eldest son of the family, Arturas Cosella. Born and raised to fill the massive hole left by his Father, he has been schooled in business and has also been well trained in military theory and fighting having even severed for some time in a free company and having trained with the various companies found around Luska. Since taking over he has spread the businesses of his house, mostly trying to bring in more coin to further the expansion of their City of Inaso. He has also reformed their martial branch by having them cross train with some of the free companies and rotating training in the high mountains. This was done as experience has thought him that those that came from the higher mountains seemed to be able to run further than the average that live down on the coast. The final plans of Arturas is to upgrade some of the older forts that guard the various mountain passes to protect their mines and to expand the cities infrastructor to allow even more growth of trade and craftsmanship.

7000 Foot
Well trained and well equiped these units make up the majority of HOuse Cosella's military. The core of the group is made up of heavy Halbarider's and Pikeman who are well armored and very adapt at fighting other heavy infantry. The rest of the group is made up of more specialized units and more basic spearman. Given the output of the city of Faeora even the basic spearman will find himself in a breastplate and a finely made gambeson.




3500 Horse

The majority of house Cosella's cavalry is made up of heavy horseman while the rest is split fairly evenly between light cavalry and shock cavalry. Each of these mounted knights are just as well trained and just as well equipped for the rigors of battle.





3500 Ranger

The rangers of House Cosella are spit evenly between heavy and lighter units. The heavy units are generally masters of defending and sieging, while the lighter units are know to be stealthy and fast and very able pathfinders.





1000 Constralia

This unit is an of itself a contained fighting unit, it is split up between horse, rangers, and foot infantry. While its rare that all 1000 are working as a single group it has happened. Usually however its broken into smaller units and hired out as needed for the contract. The Constralia of house Cosella is known for remaining loyal to their contract and have only been fully recalled off a job very few times and only when the full weight of the houses men are needed. Like the other parts of the houses military they are usually heavy units in half to full plate armor. With the standard armor being a mail halbruek with a steel brestplate and helm. It is not unusual for gifts of heavier plate to be given as gifts or when they finish their first full tour as a Constralia.
