Nawida Abhan
Name: Nawida Abhan
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Rank: Mob Princess of the Roq Clan
Appearance
Nawida is a tall woman, standing at almost six feet, with an athletic but pleasing figure. Her skin is a golden colour, indicative of her southern heritage and clearly well-maintained with creams and oils to keep it soft and radiant. Her features are feline, with a small smile that becomes a cute smirk when she has something planned and a pout when angry. Her eyes are an intense amber colour and are almond shaped. She has wavy black hair that is similarly well-maintained as her skin, being shiny and silky when she can afford to keep it as such. When not bound it up falls down to the small of her back.
She favours loose clothing that allows her to move acrobatically and hide objects within, as well as vastly preferring pants to skirts. Her current outfit is a black silken blouse with a deep neckline and baggy sleeves, along with a pair of gauzy black pants that allow one to see the toned legs beneath, while using a breechcloth to maintain modesty. Her feet are protected by reed sandals, while her hair is kept in an updo bound up with a string of gold beads and pink pearls. Like many women of her homeland, she has a labret piercing made of gold that is easily removed. Her ears similar are pierced all the way up the lobe.
Personality
Nawida is a fairly serious, self-assured woman who is more prone to quiet contemplation than she is to raucousness, although she can be capable of the latter. When stressed, however, she tends to crack into quips and jokes almost unconsciously. She has a penchant for self-pity and indulgence, rarely missing an opportunity to enjoy a nice drink or smoke. She makes liberal use of her sexuality in pursuit of her job, although she prides herself on never actually giving her targets what they want, only luring them with the promise.
She can be capable of empathy should she get to know the person, although she tries to close herself off and remain guarded when she can. Nothing angers her more than someone attempting to use her sympathy against her or be manipulative with her. She is also resentful of people who try to lord their position over her.
Biography
Within the Seven Cities, there are many clans that have formed as criminal organizations that aid the ruling classes in settling their scores against their rivals. One such group, and one of the most powerful, is the Roq Clan, headed by a man known only as Hayan. Through a tryst with a woman from the mountains south of the Seven Cities, he was able to produce a daughter. This child, the second born to Hayan, was Nawida. Upon seeing her intense eyes at her birth, Hayan knew that he would raise this girl to be one of his many blades whose talents he sold to the highest bidder.
From an incredibly young age, Nawida was shaped to be a killer for her father. She became familiar with most forms of poisons and was made to ingest them in small doses to make her as resistant to them as a human could possibly be. If there was any chance that such poisons would kill her, Hayan seemed to not care. She was forced to practice and become proficient with all sorts of physical exertions, especially combat. By the time she was 10, she was being forced to dissect cadavers and become familiar with the functioning pieces inside to know where best to strike while also knowing what could be used to treat ailments of the various organs. By the time she was 14, she was already killing.
She quickly became one of Hayan’s prized killers. Her natural beauty only made her a more useful tool as her form developed, and she quickly became used in his more ambitious jobs. In her native Seven Cities, amongst some criminal circles “a visit from Nawida” was quickly becoming a byword for earning disfavour from Hayan and being selected for death. Unfortunately, the notoriety was becoming something of a problem. Hayan sent her North so that she could let the heat die off. She found herself in the port of Shtokol, a city within the peninsular Ettinlands. There, she continued her trade as a killer, aided by connections Hayan had made within the city.
It was there that she was contracted by a powerful, spiteful woman by the name of Akonyta, who tasked her with killing a man who had made the terrible, terrible mistake of bedding her and then running. Eager to use her skills once more, Nawida has headed even further north, looking to take the life of one James A. Rackham…
