The Nations of Trevast and the Wider World

Broadly speaking, the world on which these nations can be found can be split into several regions of influence, and this influence trickles down into the cultures and histories of its Kingdoms and Lordships. Many of the nations on the Western Continent descend from the Empire of Trevast - which now finds itself split into the Northern Trevastine Region and the Southern Trevastine Region, whilst the nations over the great ocean fall into the sphere of the Boterim Continent.



Residing in the 'Top Half' of the worlds westernmost continent, the Northern Trevastine Region is a diverse area, in which the nations controlled or founded by the Imperial Families of Arturas can be found. This is a region of lush forest, sweeping plains and crashing rivers, with cold iceswept islands up to the North. The Population here is fuedalistic in most placed, although the Commonwealth of Routaille is breaking down that barrier.

The Empire of Rjillund
Founded by the ancestors of the current Monarch, King Ferrus Cassian, the Empire of Rjillund is a proud nation, with a strong military heritage, and a history of conflicts in the Northern Trevastine Region. Still smarming from a war with its eastern neighbor, the Kingdom of Alendron - the Empire of Rjillund is one of the former Imperial Provinces and its leaders count themselves as heirs to the Crown of Arturas. It is currently ruled by King Ferrus Cassian.

Durreich of Weiandel
A regional vassal, standing as one of the most senior Lords in the region, the Derreiach of Weiandel is the epotime of what it means to be a Rjillish Vassal. Traditional in the extreme, the Durreich forbids women from holding public office, and has an aggressive policy of policing its borders.

Margraf of Rji-fluss
Known as the Land of the Blessed River, the Margraf of Rji-Fluss is a minor vassal, and regional power on the southernmost border of the Empire of Rjillund, with its borders touching the Badlands and the Kingdom of Alendron. It is a militant nation, entrusted with being the first line of defence against foriegn attackers - with an empowered nobility and hordes of commoners serving in the armed forces.

The Heptarchy of Aladez
Founded by the Imperial House of Valdez following the collapse of the Emperor some centuries past, the Heptarchy lies to the west of the Empire of Rjillund and to the south of the Free Cities of Luska. A deeply religious nation, in which the unchecked power of its Grand Dukes has recently lead to a Succession Crisis causing the formation of the Free Confederacy of Northern Duchies on the nations Northern Border, it is no less a regional power, with a strong backbone of Cavalry and religious orders. It is current ruled by King Ferdinand du Valdez V who is served by a Regent, his mother Princess-Regent Elija du Valdez. 

The Arch-Duchy of Galatone 
In many ways an echo of the Heptarchy of Aladez itsef, the Arch-Duchy is a nation that is practically controlled by the Church. With vast lands controlled by the Bishopric, and religious warrior orders forming the backbone of its army, this nation is a warlike crusader state, passionately loyal to the Eternal City (the seat of the Heptarchy itself).

The Grand Despositism of Aquitainia
Having only recently been afforded this new status, Aquitainia sits as a petty-kingdom, subserviant to the Heptarchy of Aladez itself. It lies on the border with the Empire of Rjillund, and is a powerful economic force in the region. The families ruling house, who share the nations name, are married into the dynasty of the Caedwyni, of the Confederacy of Northern Dukes.

The Free Cities of Luska
Northermost of the nations of Trevast, the Free Cities of Luska are a trading and merchant nation, currently ruled by the Imperial House Vyre, and occupying lands formerly controlled by the Salkan People. An economic powerhouse with a navy to match, the Free Cities find themselves in a powerful position, with a politically unstable Heptarchy of Aladez relying on the support of the House Vyre to remain steady. The Nation is ruled by King Something of House Vyre.

The Commonwealth of Routaille
Having undergone a violent revolution in recent years, against a tyrannical King - Odo the Mad - the Commonwealth of Routaille is an island nation in the Trevastine Seas that has a unique approach to political power. Long gone are the days of a landed nobility, instead the Common Folk have suffrage, and the Monarch is bound by a Constitution. This nation is ruled by King Arno of House Merov.

The Kingdom of Alendron
Bordering the Southern Trevastine Region, the Kingdom of Alendron is a nation of culture, education and art. An economic powerhouse, with a powerful navy - the Kingdom has recently exited a war with the Empire of Rjillund. With a powerful centralised monarchy, placing military power into the hands of the ruling family and its Cadet Branches, it is a nation with colonial ambitions in the wider world. This nation is ruled by Queen Aelin Galathion of House Galathion.

The Confederacy of Northern Dukes
A new player on the bloc, the Confederacy of Northern Dukes split away from the Heptarchy of Aladez to its south, the Confederacy is a lose collection of three Grand Duchys, that split from the Heptarchy following the Succession Crisis. It serves as an unofficial buffer state between the Luskan and Aladez nations.




Formed of the states, protectorates and free realms hailing from the time of the Empire of Trevast, the Southern Trevastine Region is a collection of states dominating the sweeping sands and deltas of the area. A distinctivly different culture has erupted across the region following the Trevastine Empires collapse - with this area clearly seperate from the Northern Sphere.

The Empire of Izhen
Clearly the dominant power in the region, the Empire of Izhen controls a region known as the Ettinlands and is ruled over by descendants of the Imperial House of Merov. A simply vast force of nature in the sphere, the Empire of Izhen commands hundreds of thousands of men and women in its army, and is currently ruled by the Co-Empresses Mirun and something.

The United Dramarch Empire
An island nation at the southernmost point of the region, the United Empire of Dramarch is a naval and economic superpower, following an Imperialist approach to international politics. With a progressive political system - and a constitutional monarch - the Empire is open with its imperialistic desires, operating through a policy of supporting its navy, to increase its stranglehold on trans-national movements, and to expand its sphere of influence to inflict a Pax Dramarchia on the lands. It is ruled by the Emperor Philip Chapillion I, or the House of Chapillion.
