JORD HOMURA
NAME: Jord Homura
ALIAS: The Harlequin
AGE: 20
GENDER: Male
HOUSE: N/A
Titles: Captain of The Entropy, Duke of Aurolytz, Head of Vassal House Homura
~APPEARANCE~
The obvious physical traits of Jord is his height being six feet and two inches (1.88 centimeters). His athletic build is thanks to constant work and the diet of primarily fish and any fruits and vegetables he can get his hands on. Whilst most brigands are unsavory and lack a sense of hygiene Jord makes an effort to stay clean and appealing. Still that only goes so far when working hard and amongst the denizens of the Trevast underworld. Most often a pleasant smile, placid thoughtfulness or overt jovial aura are present on him in private company. On the other hand when dealing in business he can be quite the opposite. He knows a reputation and being tough is required to survive the harshness of reality so his face is very capable of expressing every emotion he wishes others to understand.
Some people believe a hardened mariner would be burly but when it comes to stereotypes this is not accurate. Sometimes food is scarce and his natural physique is not very large. However his lean muscle provides every bit of strength he needs to do his part on the ship. He is a living example that a lack of mass does not mean a lack of strength. The athletic build he possess is less intimidating as well affording him some benefits in more high society related situations. His hair used to be a strawberry blonde as a youth and now has since become darker with age. Still sometimes he streaks it with dies before battle and braids it. Even his beard he has two short braids while the rest is mostly scruff.
The seas he travels are temperate and enjoyable. His sun-kissed skin shows spotted freckles but what draws the most attention are the tattoos along his right arm. Each one represents a trial in his life and he seeks to continue the trend throughout the rest of his life. Meanwhile the bright blue eyes are what attract some fair maidens when he visits port. On either ear he has piercings for jewelry though they are rather simple in design and material. Scars and abraisons mark his body from injuries at sea and fights in port, these to are reminders he does not easily forget.

~BIOGRAPHY~
Beginning On The Streets
Low born, one of the rabble and marked with only above average looks and charm he was otherwise anonymous. As a child he was a scrapper, thief and all-round hoodlum of the streets of Avindril. His father was unknown to him and his mother was an entertainer. She never spoke of him save for that "he is no good fool who loved the sea more than me. Yet I can't hate him for it." She took care of him for some time until his eleventh summer when she started to gain more renown as lute player. Then she started getting called upon more and more to entertain various guests. She was not used to getting coin and spent it on foolish things that would not have lasting value. Jord took this time to break his teeth being quite the rascal of the streets he called home.Unfortunate Events
Four four years he ran with the kids and he started to become the more prominent rogue amongst them. He mostly did it for fun rather than out of necessity. When he went home sometimes once a week his mother was there, sometimes not. At one point he didn't see his mother for almost two weeks. Usually there was a sign she had returned home, purchased food or drink for the house. But for days there was nothing. So Jord went searching for her and discovered she had been killed at one of the masquerades she was hired to perform at. Jord's mother was an accidental casualty of an assassination attempt of one of the lesser nobles. He didn't know why it had happened only that his mother was seen as nothing other than collateral damage in the politics of the higher reaches of the aristocracy.Leaving Avindril
With his mother dead he felt there was nothing left for him in Avindril. Saying his good byes to his fellow urchins of the streets he stowed away aboard a merchant vessel headed for Aladeen. As fate would have it he had joined a ship that had a captain who dared to defy nature and pushed through a storm. The storm was far deadlier than expected and nearly destroyed the ship. Looking for damages the crew found Jord in his hiding place. However the captain had also been lost at sea and his replacement was merciful. Hans Roujes, recognized that they needed the manpower and so gave Jord a chance to prove himself. The crew was a rag tag bunch, some were from the Royal Navy, others were criminals and some simple career mariners. The following year was harsh and unforgiving. But the Captain who he had come to know, favored him. Still it was not easy living and it wasn't long before the crew's well being relied on sinister means.Piracy
Hans led the crew on several endeavors during the next two years. Unbeknownst to Jord he had been a pirate before attempting to become a legitimate businessman. Now he returned with a ship of his own to command and a crew willing to do whatever it took to not just survive but thrive on the high seas. Hans became known as Hans 'the Red Mane' and his crew profited for awhile. Jord wanted to make it on his own with ambition to be a famous figure of the sea. Hans didn't stop him but also told him he wouldn't help him. Thanking Hans for everything he had done for him Jord went and convinced nearly a three dozen locals to join him. They agreed with the promise of coin and stole a frigate from one of the privateers that had been in port longer than they had. Their complacency and Jord's planned surprise theft of the vessel ended with the frigate under Jord's command.
The Harlequin
Now with a ship and crew Jord spent the better part of the following year outfitting his crew and ship with everything he needed. They hit several merchant vessels to the north and recruited a handful of crew members along the way. Hitting several more closer to the south Jord then migrated north once more. The playing different navies of kingdoms and area of operation against one another. Then finding their way to the northern most city of Valdez. The Entropy sailed them up river halfway to the Old Capital before they raided several villages, liberating the local leadership of their possessions without spilling a drop of blood. The Duke
Jord returned north and this time he stayed there. The man had found his way to Levi Cove again but this time something other than drink and coin made him stay. The Duke of Aurolytz was none other than his biological father. Hakkon Homura II recognized his bastard son and welcomed him with open arms. Jord would later find out that Hakkon had fathered nother son, Jusepe, as well as a daughter, Sara. Jusepe had died years ago leaving Jord to be the rightful ruler and since Hakkon and his wife had been having fertility issues the Duke thought it a god send that Jord showed up when he did. Over the course of a year they bonded together until Hakkon decided he would return to the sea. He explained he could not stop thinking of his adventures and his love for the ocean and so signed over the territory and responsabilities over to Jord. The captain had not expected this but excepted the duty and privilege.
